The client must have a valid horse passport and/or provide it with each transport. 

EquiTax reserves the right to refuse a transport if a valid horse passport is not present. 

The ponies and horses to be transported must also have the mandatory vaccinations (influenza). Failure to comply may result in a fine being borne by the client. 

The loading and unloading of a horse must be done by the client or a person designated by the client. Of course, you will receive assistance from our driver if desired. 

EquiTax reserves the right to refuse a transport on site. For example, if the horse is very difficult to load or is not in good condition for transport. The costs incurred (travel expenses) must be paid in cash in accordance with the rates stated on the website. 

Under no circumstances may the horse/pony be removed from the vehicle/trailer during transport. 

Agreed times are target times and we cannot be held liable for any delays due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. traffic) 

In case of bad weather conditions we reserve the right to cancel. You cannot claim and/or charge for this either. Safety comes first! 

Payments must be made in cash, by debit card or by bank transfer on site before departure. 

Afterwards, you will receive the corresponding invoice by email with any costs or refunds that may still need to be settled. 

Any tolls and/or ferry fees will be added to the costs of the transport. 

For international transport, the client is responsible for the mandatory documents such as: Traces and a health certificate from the veterinarian. 

For transport between 20:00 and 08:00 we charge a surcharge of 50%. 

As the client, you are at all times responsible and liable for any damage caused to the vehicle by your animal.

Damage to/at third parties is also at the expense and risk of the client. 

EquiTax cannot be held liable for any damage to people and/or animals. 

Damage caused by your horse(s) will be charged to the client. 

Any additional costs that, at EquiTax's sole discretion, are necessary for the horse's welfare, such as extra stabling or a vet, are for the client's account. 

An order is binding after approval. A ride can be cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours in advance, after this the full agreed rate will be charged. When booking a ride, you automatically agree to these general terms and conditions. 

A booking/order confirmation is binding. A car will be reserved for you. 

We exclude all liability, insofar as this is not regulated by law. 

The number of kilometers is calculated from our location, Zutendaal Belgium. 

The general terms and conditions apply to all our rides.

Liability. Every transport order and its execution are subject to the mandatory provisions of the CMR Convention. Any liability other than that provided for in the CMR Convention is excluded. The principal acknowledges that the means of transport used by the carrier are suitable and in perfect condition to transport the animals in a safe and correct manner. Any comments regarding the condition of the means of transport must be communicated to the carrier in writing and prior to loading the animals. On the basis of article 17.4f of the CMR Convention, the carrier is exempt from liability as a result of the transport of live animals. In the event of damage to and/or loss of the live animals, only the insured causes, as described below (events including loading and unloading) can therefore form a basis for liability. 

CMR Insurance The carrier declares to have a "CMR" insurance under the General and Special Conditions "CMR01012019B" of the insurance contract with TVM Belgium, Berchemstadionstraat, 78 B-2600 Berchem, which insures: Maximum insured capital: €7,500.00/horse with a maximum of €75,000.00 per claim.

Coverage of events according to article 27.5 of the General Conditions "CMR01012019B", including loading and unloading, excluding theft, and more specifically: 

In the event of death as a result of an accident during transport and/or loading and unloading

In the event of euthanasia performed by a competent veterinarian/animal clinic as a result of an accident during transport and/or loading and unloading

In the event of loss of use (*) as a result of an accident during transport and/or loading and unloading

In the event of veterinary costs (**) as a result of an accident during transport and/or loading and unloading

(*) permanent and definitive reduction in the value of the horse as a direct result of an insured claim, with a maximum compensation of 80% of the current value of the horse and up to a maximum of the insured capital/horse 

(**) maximum € 2,500.00 per claim

In the event of damage to an insured horse, an authorized veterinarian/animal clinic must always be called upon
